The oldest part of the church is the chancel which dates from about 1440. All remains of the Rood Loft have been removed but the staircase remains in the south wall. A15th century Chancel screen is fitted with 17th century gates. The Tower also built in about 1440, is linked to the Chancel by the nave which is built in the perpendicular style. The panelled walls of the nave have probably used timber taken from old pews in the restortation of 1877, but fine old pews with wooden end carving remain, and these are possibly 500 years old.
