A new book about the village and
village life over the ages has been printed and it will
be on sale from 1st May 2006.
An introductionary launch of "Our Own People" took place on Monday May 1st 2006. The book traces the unique story of the village community in Barningham from Anglo Saxon times to the present day. The author was born in Barningham more than 85 years ago, the son of a local farmer, and has has known the village in the pre and post war years when there was a strong sense of belonging to an individual rural community. As he observes - with hindsight most people will see the amusing side of most events and incidents, and he hopes that we do as well. |
